We are thrilled to announce that #DCUBED has been selected to join the prestigious Business in Space Growth Network (BSGN) In-orbit Manufacturing Accelerator (IMA) led by Satellite Applications Catapult and sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA). This is a momentous occasion for our team and we are honored to be recognized as one of the top tier innovators in the in space manufacturing area.
ESA’s BSGN program allows private businesses like ours to contribute our expertise, drive innovation in the Lower Earth Orbit (LEO) economy and accelerates the development of new in-orbit infrastructures and services. Needless to say, we are excited to be a part of this 12 month program. We will collaborate closely with the IMA to mature the technology readiness level of our robotic extrusion system, designed to aid in the manufacture of large structures in the vacuum of space. This in space manufacturing technology will enable expansive infrastructure projects in space, breaking free from the volume restrictions imposed by terrestrial build methods. We will work together with the IMA to pave the way for in-orbit demonstration and commercialization of our groundbreaking innovations.
At DCUBED, we are committed to innovation, collaboration and the realization of our vision to Do Big Things in Space. In space manufacturing is the disruptive technology that will help make this vision even more of a reality beyond our transformative space release actuators, origami solar arrays and space deployables. Our partnership with the IMA and ESA is a pivotal step towards achieving those goals.
