The ESA conference took place virtually from October 11-14 and dealt with emerging space-based solutions for today and tomorrow’s digital economy. Our CEO Thomas Sinn joined the panel on “Space for Green Value”, discussing how connectivity through space can help battle climate change.
Whilst giving a summary of the satcom upstream and downstream business value chain, the conference aimed to create partnerships and motivate new ideas for technology development and market growth in telecommunications sector. In addition, the importance of bringing upstream developers and downstream users closer together was acknowledged.
Consisting of not only plenary sessions, where participants had the opportunity to quiz executive-level keynote speakers but also parallel sessions with virtual networking opportunities, bringing manufacturers, satellite operators, space agencies and small companies together. A wide range of topics in categories ground, payload, platform and systems & future preparation were discussed in the 4-day event, such as next generation satcom systems, antenna & RF, propulsion, thermal control and many more.
It was a pleasure to join Space2Connect 2021, we are looking forward to the next one!
